New Era Free 1 year anniversary service
Welcome to New Era ("we," "our," or "us"), We are committed to providing our community with an experience like no other. that is why we provide all of our customers with a free 1st service, to give your new e-bike / e-scooter a longer life, on us.
Below is an outline of what exactly we inspect on your electric transport vehicle, what is covered for free, and how you can take advantage of this free service.
Electric Bike Servicing:
Battery Inspection:
- Check the battery pack for physical damage or leaks.
- Test the battery capacity and charging performance.
- Inspect battery contacts and connectors for corrosion and proper connection.
Motor Check:
- Test the motor’s functionality and power output.
- Inspect motor cables and connectors for any issues.
- Verify motor responsiveness and assist levels.
Electronic Components:
- Check and calibrate the display panel for accurate information.
- Verify the functionality of electronic controls, including throttle and pedal-assist sensors.
Brake Service:
- Inspect and adjust both mechanical and hydraulic brakes.
- Check brake sensors (if applicable) for proper engagement.
Drivetrain and Gearing:
- Inspect and clean the chain, chainrings, and cassette.
- Adjust and align the drivetrain components for smooth shifting.
Tire Inspection:
- Check tire pressure and adjust if necessary.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, or punctures.
Wheel and Rim Inspection:
- True and tension the wheels for a straight and balanced rotation.
- Check rims for signs of wear or damage.
Bearing Service:
- Disassemble, clean, and regrease bearings in the bottom bracket and headset.
- Check hub bearings and regrease if needed.
Frame and Component Inspection:
- Inspect the frame for cracks, dents, or signs of damage.
- Check handlebars, stem, and seat-post for secure installation and damage.

- If applicable, update the bike’s firmware or software to the latest version.

Booking Your Service
In order to take advantage of your free service, you will be automatically emailed 45 days prior to your 1 year New Era order anniversary.
In this email, you will be able to select a date, and time with a New Era approved partner local to you.
Failure to book, or show intentions to book 14 days prior to your 1 year New Era order anniversary will result in an expiry of your free service. This is due to wait times, and will ultimately lead to a full charge for the service if you still wish to take advantage of a New Era servicing.
Free servicing is only available to the purchaser, if you lose access to emails/contacts from New Era you will need to provide evidence in the form of an order number, proof of payment, or any other form of contact linking you to your electric bike / electric scooter order.
